On 6/26/26, Corner will be closing its doors. We have been blessed, these past 24 years, to witness and support the growth and development of so many fabulous children and their families. And are looking forward to an Alumni Reunion Picnic later this summer. In addition, we have heard from both the Ithaca Waldorf School and Owl's Nest Preschool that they have openings for this fall. They both come highly recommended. At Corner of the Sky we embrace the philosophy that play is the most significant work of young children. Our (primarily) outdoor classroom for 3 to 6 year olds is an arts-based environment for we believe creative expression accentuates and personalizes children’s learning. Our open-ended materials allow for unique dynamic engagement with the environment and each other. We, as teachers, support the children's self-directed play which keeps us on our toes. It's never the same day as it was the day before at Corner. |
